Disney settles six-year-old Home Improvement profits lawsuit weeks before it was scheduled to go on trial

A group of writer-producers had sued Disney in 2013 alleging they had been cheated out of syndication money for the hit ABC Tim Allen sitcom, which has generated $1.5 billion for Disney.
