Here are the most surprising rejected pilots: ABC rejected a Hannah Simone pilot for the second year in a row

The CW's Jane the Virgin spinoff Jane the Novela, NBC's Prism and Fox's New York Undercover reboot where among the most surprising rejected pilots. Yet what was also surprising was ABC's rejection of nearly all of its comedy pilots except -- so far -- for Black-ish spinoff Mixed-ish. "Half-hours starring Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton) and Hannah Simone (New Girl) were in the narrative for weeks leading up to the upfront presentations," according to The Hollywood Reporter's Lesley Goldberg. "Simone, specifically, was a big get for ABC after being the most heavily pursued actress for pilots two years in a row. Instead, Simone winds up on this list for the second year running after ABC passed on her Greatest American Hero reboot last season."
