John Cusack to star in his first TV series: Amazon's Utopia

Cusack is the latest big-screen star to make the leap to television, joining the Gillian Flynn thriller Utopia, a remake of the 2013-14 British series of the same name. Cusack will play Kevin Christie, a "charismatic and media-savvy" doctor with "a brilliant biotech mind and a philanthropic outlook. Christie altruistically wants to change the world through science." He'll co-star with Rainn Wilson, Sasha Lane, Cory Michael Smith, Ashleigh LaThrop, Desmin Borges and Dan Byrd. Utopia marks Cusack's first regular TV series role in his 36-year-acting career.
