The New York Times and MSNBC are at odds over the newspaper's reported ban on reporters appearing on The Rachel Maddow Show

Maddow is one of several MSNBC shows deemed to be too partisan for Times reporters. That has ticked off Maddow, who has interviewed Times reporters countless times about their scoops. According to CNN's Brian Stelter, MSNBC president Phil Griffin and Times executive editor Dean Baquet even tried to resolve the dispute over lunch to no avail.
