The Boys Season 3 Trailer Teases New Supes and a Homelander Meltdown

  • "There is something wrong with Homelander," the new trailer for The Boys Season 3 warns.

In the just-released trailer, Homelander (Antony Starr), the lead member of The Seven, can be seen having some kind of meltdown as the public cheers him on. Meanwhile, a new formula emerges that turns those who consume it into a superhero for 24 hours. The formula finds its way into the hands of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who will now be able face off against the supes with powers of his own.

Seasons 1 and 2 of The Boys follows seven superheroes who use their powers for selfish gain, as another group tries to destroy them. Their feud continues into Season 3, which introduces a new character, Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles. At the SXSW Festival in March, Ackles told fans that the new season introduces a comic storyline about a superhero orgy known as Herogasm. “How they managed to do that I won’t say but … holy shit,” revealed the actor.

The Boys Season 3 premieres on Prime Video on June 3. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Prime Video.
